WildStar Known Headstart Issues

Carbine team is currently investigating and tracking the following issues:

  • Players are unable to view Realm List/Enter Realms
  • Players are seeing extremely long queue times
  • Players cannot speak/do not have permissions to use chat channels
  • Players are missing their entitlement items (Boom Boxes, Pre-Order bonuses etc)
  • Players cannot create characters/have less character slots than intended
  • Players unable to create characters due to no UI being loaded after entering a Realm.
  • Some users are seeing an Error 15 message preventing login.
    POSSIBLE FIX: We recommend using a hard line into your Router (if possible) rather than a WiFi connection to see if this resolves the issue
  • A new EN-PvP Realm (Ravenous) has been opened to help alleviate traffic
  • Users are reporting their Reserved names are not available.
  • Some users are reporting they are being bounced between NA and EU, receiving a “No Valid Game Account” message.
    Update: We’re still investigating the issue with “No Valid Game Account”.

Hycrest Insurrection Adventure Guide

Wildstar Hycrest Insurrection

General info

  1. Level 15 Adventure for Exile players only. You get it once you hit level 15, via communicator.
  2. Entrance is in Galeras, east of Thayd.
  3. This is Choose Your Own Story adventure type.
  4. Adventure starts in a space ship. Once the Caretaker gives you some basic information about new mission, you should drop of the space ship and enter an Abandoned Farm.
  5. The aim of this adventure is to complete five tasks in a timely manner.
  6. Regroup on different locations to receive tasks. Three out of five tasks are chosen by players, while the two remaining (including the last boss) are random.
  7. In order to achieve best rewards, complete the tasks as fast as possible. Avoid getting hit by sniper telegraph by dodging out of it on time. Avoid fighting versus unnecessary mobs (the one that takes the most time to be beaten is the largest one – Shatterforce Responsebot with his 43k HP) that are not the part of task. Avoid large, white, target AOE telegraphs that start dropping fire as you step into them and etc.
  8. TIP: In northern part of the map, when you approach a group of NPCs, they will transform your character into one of them. This transformation lasts for a few seconds, but during this time you can pass by enemies, without being noticed.

Wildstar Housing Video Showcasing New Features

We had immense pleasure of meeting Jeremy Gaffney, Executive Producer at Carbine Studios, during GamesCom 2013 and spend some time discussing the game with him. You can expect the full interview including some community questions being answered, but in the meantime we wanted to share this short video where Mr. Gaffney showcased some of the Chua housing options and, voluntarily divulged some amazing warplot information.

WildStar Housing System

Housing is one of the core feature with a huge potentials you might not expect, like more rested XP when you log off in your house than anywhere else, crafting ingredients in your garden, your own workbench, daily quests, raid portals with buffs and much more, the possibilities are endles. Housing means a lot of things to different people, but we can agree that customization and decoration are the main housing functionalities.
 

How to obtain your WildStar House

Once you hit level 14 you are eligible for the housing quest, obtained in your capital city via comm-call. After completing several steps, where you have to visit the Housing of the Future building and check on virtual examples of houses, you will be awarded with your own piece of land (literally) in the sky. Click on the portal in front of the building and it will teleport you to your private floating island. You can also click on the house icon where the transmat teleport button is (by default it’s at the bottom right corner of the screen, next to the action bar), just press the arrow up and select it from the menu.

WildStar Guild Basics

One of the most important features in every MMO – guilds, has standard options we’ve seen so far in other MMO games and a few new, interesting ones. In WildStar, every moment spent playing with your guildmates means a lot to you and your fellow guildies.
 

How to create a guild in WildStar?

Ask a guard in your capital city about Guild Services and he will show you location of a guild management NPC on the city map. Prepare 10g and bring no one but yourself when you are level 12, because that’s all you need to register your guild. And some design affinity, since you have to create your guild emblem using one background and one foreground icon, found on two long lists. If you change your mind about the look of your guild emblem, you can always change it later for a small sum of influence (more about this later). You can also change names of three starting guild ranks (leader, council and member) while creating a guild.


 

Guild basic functions

  • Guild bank – unlock and rename guild vault tabs where you can deposit and withdraw items, deposit gold, set gold withdrawal allowance and repair limit, log tabs with every guild bank action displayed. You start without guild vault tabs so you have to spend influence to unlock the first one.
  • Customizable guild ranks – allow you to create and customize existing guild ranks and their permissions – chat, bank logs, invite, demote, rename guild ranks, etc. Although it says that you can enter 25 characters, max of 16 characters is allowed (it is a typo or a bug).

  • Guild tax – optional 5% tax that applies on every amount of gold looted by every guild member. Your money will get contributed to the guild vault if your guild leader decides to turn this on. For a leveling guild it might be the best to skip this until everyone gets to mid levels.
