If you missed the Engineer livestream this past weekend, or just want to rewatch it, the whole stream is now available on Wildstar’s YouTube channel. It’s a great way to see the new class in action and to get a sense of how it will be played in game. Give the video a watch, and let us know what you think of the Engineer in the comments below.
Engineer AMPs Locations
AMPs system is part of the WildStar Action Set builder. While leveling players get AMP points, which can be used for unlocking AMPs. Tier 1 AMPs are unlocked by default, when you collect enough AMP points, but AMPS Tier 2 and Tier 3 are locked, and players have to unlock AMPs with corresponding AMP items first. These items can be obtained as quest rewards, random world drops, from Scavenged Supplies boxes you get from Challenges, or you can buy them from vendors.
Link to our detailed AMPs guide and vendor AMP Locations for other classes.
In the table below you can find locations for all Engineer Amps, for both factions Exile and Dominion. By clicking on the links in the Vendor columns you can see map location for each vendor. You can also search the table by choosing vendor name, or location from drop down menus at the top of the table.

Econ Devblog Shines Light on the Circuit Board Crafting System
Today we were treated to a nice developer blog going over some of the aspects of what the WildStar team is calling their “Circuit Board Crafting System”, or CBC for short. The CBC is the basis for one of our two crafting systems, and is also used by non-crafters to modify their items.
The post mainly focuses on modding items, but it includes a few nice teasers for the crafters out there as well. The blog focuses heavily on the idea of each item in the game having a schematic that contains slots that can be filled with items known as microchips. These microchips can affect stats, abilities, and the power of the weapon itself.

DevSpeak Talks Crowd Control
The developers over at Carbine Studios gave players a peek at how crowd control will play into WildStar’s combat system in the most recent episode of DevSpeak. The video mostly focuses on the ability of players to counter crowd control, instead of being forced to watch helplessly as your character is beat upon.
The video is full of the standard WildStar humor, and their fresh take on incorporating crowd control into combat is looking quite interesting. Take a look for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments below!
Developers Talk PVP In The Latest “What is WildStar”
Anyone who’s a fan of Player vs Player combat should be sure to check out the most recent “What is WildStar” post over on the official WildStar site. In it we get some of our first information on the unique type of Arena Combat players can expect to engage in while playing WildStar.
Players will get to face of against each other in 2v2, 3v3, and 5v3 combat, and will have the ability to make formal teams for each size in order to earn team rating pints. Check out the full post below for all the info, and let us know what you think in the comments below! Continue reading
Deradun – Gameplay Experience
It is one thing to watch an online video of a game being played and it is entirely different sitting down at a computer and actually experiencing it. When we first got a chance to play Wildstar at Arkship EU 2013 I saw that cutscene of a spaceship landing into Deradune on my computer screen (that we saw in the online video weeks before) and I got excited.
Deradun is a level 6-12 zone for the Dominion faction. You start out in a Draken village, which means you will do hunting and skull collecting right away. I started with a level 7 spellslinger and at first I felt a bit overwhelmed. I missed the introductory first levels and I felt like I had no idea what I was doing. There were quests to pick up and apparently some were part of special quests chains while others were your regular “run of the mill” quests. As soon as I exited the village I got more things to do in form of special Explorer missions and than there were challenge missions. Quite frankly I felt a bit overwhelmed at first. My OCD was telling me “DO ALL THE THINGS”, but within the first 15 minutes there were so many things to do that my poor brain felt a bit overloaded. Than I realized – I don’t have to do all the things. I can do the things I feel like doing at that moment.

The Defile presentation from GamesCom 2014
During our visit to Europe’s largest gaming convention, GamesCom, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Wildstar devs and having a presentation of upcoming content for the game. Majority of the presentation was dedicated to a new zone coming to the game called the Defile.
New zone tells the story of what happens after the events described in Blighthaven. It is a level 50 zone with solo, 5-man and 20-man content with new quests, bosses, datacubes and repeatable zone events (think of it as the Tree and the Bird events in Blighthaven). There are places in the zone that are there only for people to explore through with new missions for all paths and new datacubes.
Along with the new content coming with the patch there will also be some quality of life updates to the game. In housing you will be able to unlock skies, instead of replace one with the other and lose the previous one forever. There will also be an ambiance music tab added to your house where you can shoose the background music for your housing plot. More decor items will be introduced as well.
*SPOILERS ALERT*
If you are not level 50 yet and you do not want your story spoiled – stop reading here.
*SPOILER ALERT*
Main story of the content drop will be that the Strain is trying to release the Entity from the prison Drusera and the Eldan put it in. The Defile will actually finish the story arc of the fight between Drusera and the Entity … for now.
All of the above and more is shown in the video of the presentation and you can check it out bellow.
There is also a part 2 of this presentation with exclusive new information of what is coming to the game which we’ll release later in the day.
