During GamesCom 2014, largest Europen gaming convention, we had the pleasure of getting some exclusive info on upcoming content updates for Wildstar. Wildstar will have its first seasonal event for Halloween! Event is called Shade’s Eve and it will feature completely revamped capital cities, instances with easy bosses and a realm wide event for all to participate in. We were also shown short footage about the new Ice Box arena and Protostar Games dungeon. You can view all of this footage in the video bellow
Goldensun Aura Guide (or how to get a shiny character)
Welcome to the second installment of our Adventuring through Wildstar series of articles. Today we will talk about a very special event that takes place in Whitevale, level 22-28 zone for both factions. This frozen wonderland has many surprises. There is a lake in the middle of the zone which has adventures both under water as well as on a floating barge high up above the lake. There are Elden secrets to be solved and Prime Metal Maw to be defeated (world boss of the zone). What turned out the most unexpected surprise in this land is what we’re about to discuss!
Goldensun Aura is a buff that you receive when you use the item Goldensun Essence. This buff makes your character have a golden shine around it! Sometimes, in rare occasions, it makes the items that you wear appear made out of gold.
Special thanks to FearlessLeader from guild LoVE Lords of Nexus (server Eko – EU) for his information and generous time helping me find Goldensun Dawngrazer.

Adventuring through Wildstar – Galeras
Welcome to the first installment of, what we hope will become, a series of articles about adventuring through Nexus. I am thoroughly playing the game without skipping a single quest or location and I will be sharing what I hope are interesting adventures found in various zones. First up is Galeras, level 14-21 zone for Exile players located just outside the main city Thayd. Zone will take you through all sorts of quests and introduce you to the first adventure and group dungeon for your faction. While questing through the zone I came across a secluded part of the map that can be reached only via a “hidden path”. There is a quest mob that can be summoned there that drops an item that starts a quest “A Vengeful Elemental“. The biggest advantage of getting to this place and killing the mob are primary weapons that are rewards for completing this quest. These weapons are:
- Crackling Stormshooters
- Eye of the Stormgod
- Shards of the Stormbolt
- Storming Thunderfists
- The Stormcannon
- The Stormsword
As you can see, all of the quest reward weapons have an Omni rune slot and Imbuement tasks. These tasks will unlock bonus stats for your weapon once completed. All tasks are part of the Stormtalon dungeon and killing bosses inside it. Once you complete all the imbuements you get what is probably the best in slot item for that level range (I kept it all the way up to level 26).
Get Ready For The Robots, The Engineer Is Here
Do you dream of your own private droid army? One that can support you as you blast things with your rocket launcher, or laugh off enemy attacks in your oversized power suit? Well you’re in luck, because the Engineer is here to help you fulfill those dreams.
Armed with their technical know how, the Engineer is going to bring a bunch of cool gadgets to the battlefield. Not the least of which are their bots; little helpers that can tank, dps, heal, or cc depending on what model you choose to go with. This gives the Engineer a ton of variability to players to experiment with.

Generous Donor Achievement – Thayd Museum
Generous Donor Achievement is unlocked when you gather eight (8) relics found throughout Nexus. This guide describes locations of Exile relics. Finding one of these relics gives you a quest that sends you to the Museum in Thayd. This is where you are supposed to leave these relics for safekeeping. Completing all these quests gives you 10 achievement points and title: Philanthropist.
Dorian Walker’s Museum is found in southeast Thayd. This area is called Walker’s Bluff. You can reach it via two ascending paths found north and west of Walker’s Bluff. Huge spaceship found at this location represents the Thayd Museum. Use the lift at the bottom of the spaceship’s left wing in order to enter the Museum.
- Walker’s Bluff Thayd Museum Approach
- Dorian Walker’s Thayd Museum Entrance
In the table bellow you can find artifact names, locations and in-game information about their history. Wildstar once again surprises its players with hidden gems and rewards exploration off the beaten path in the best fashion possible.

Game Jamming With the WildStar Team
Have you ever wonder what goes on inside the minds of the team over at Carbine Studios? Well it turns out that on certain special weekends the whole team puts aside their regular work and and get’s together for a little thing they like to call a Game Jam.
But what is a Game Jam you ask? Well the team member will set aside their regular work and, for 8 hours, just focus on creating something cool and exciting for WildStar. They get to put their skills to the test and try to design something really cool, something they may not get to work on otherwise, in a limited time frame. It sounds like a fun and challenging way to test out new ideas, and hopefully at the end there are some cool new things for players to enjoy.
