Wildstar Housing Video Showcasing New Features

We had immense pleasure of meeting Jeremy Gaffney, Executive Producer at Carbine Studios, during GamesCom 2013 and spend some time discussing the game with him. You can expect the full interview including some community questions being answered, but in the meantime we wanted to share this short video where Mr. Gaffney showcased some of the Chua housing options and, voluntarily divulged some amazing warplot information.

DevSpeak Talks Crowd Control

The developers over at Carbine Studios gave players a peek at how crowd control will play into WildStar’s combat system in the most recent episode of DevSpeak. The video mostly focuses on the ability of players to counter crowd control, instead of being forced to watch helplessly as your character is beat upon.

The video is full of the standard WildStar humor, and their fresh take on incorporating crowd control into combat is looking quite interesting. Take a look for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments below!

C.R.E.D.D. is an in-game item that, when consumed, extends an account’s subscription by 30 days. It stands for Certificate of Research, Exploration, Destruction and Development. C.R.E.D.D. can be bought from other players in-game via the Commodities Exchange (CX) for earned in-game money. Alternately, you can purchase C.R.E.D.D. online at WildStar-Online.com.

The cost of C.R.E.D.D will be $19.99 (€16.99 / £11.99) on WildStar website, but it will fluctuate based on the current player to player trade rate on your realm’s Commodities Exchange (CX). WildStar release date announced

IMPORTANT NOTE:
WildStar Release Date is announced for June 3rd, 2014. If you want to find out more about preorder start and bonuses read our latest breaking news

Today Carbine unveiled a little upsetting news for all WildStar fans – WildStar’s release is officially pushed back to Spring of 2014. Jeremy Gaffney, Carbine executive producer, confirmed that the main changes to the game depend on the feedback provided by beta players, and that all content must be polished before the launch.

It’s very dependent on our players though. We reserve the right to flip-flop around, because we have to have people in the beta going ‘Yeah!’ and we have to have all of our content in and tested in the beta, but right now we’re targeting early 2014, spring 2014.

Although the fans will be a little disappointed with this decision, it’s good to know that Carbine’s number one commitment is a high-quality game with polished content and deep top-level gameplay.

Wildstar GamesCom Community Questions

PAXGC_banner

GamesCom is the biggest European gaming expo and we will be in attendance this year. Lucky for us, NCSoft and Carbine will be there to showcase Wildstar and we will be hovering around their booth throughout the event to bring you the latest and the biggest news.

As some of you may know, we have a tradition where we ask the game developers questions that you, the community, have for them. We did this for every convention we attended so far and for various games. Things will not be different with Wildstar. Feel free to leave your questions for Wildstar developers in the comments bellow or on Twitter or Reddit and we will pick the best ones and take them to GamesCom to present them to the devs. Please avoid asking questions that you know will not get answered (i.e. when’s the first expansion coming :S).

You can expect first news to start coming on Wednesday, 21st and we promise to bring you gameplay footage first thing in the morning.
