The number of players who had a chance to participate in WildStar Close Beta at least once is significantly lower, about 160,307 players, and they created 505,514 characters, 45% in the Dominion faction, 55% with the Exiles.

WildStar Settler Path

WildStar Settler
The Settler path involves more player interaction than any of the other paths. If you like to socialize with others then this is right path for you.
Settlers focus a lot on repairing and restoring things around the Nexus world. Most of the towns in the game require maintaining, and that’s where the Settlers come in handy. They can also build things in towns like buff stations, vendors, and much more that can be used by other players like Speeders!

Settlers also can build whole new posts around world that can help other players during their time in that area, while at the same time helping yourself. Let’s look at an example. Let’s say you deploy a picnic that grants anyone who uses it a +5 strength buff. For everyone who discovers your picnic and interacts with it you will receive a +2 strength buff. So not only are you helping out other players, but in doing so you are powering yourself up. Or let’s say you find a broken Resurrection Station. Fixing it will help not only you, but other members of your faction in the same area.

WildStar Scientist path

WildStar Scientist
If you’re the type of player that wants to know everything about the planet Nexus then the Scientist is path for you. As a Scientist you will get a wider view into the game story and will learn more about the flora and fauna of the planet than any other path. By choosing this path you will get the Scan Bot, a little robotic pet that will do all the work for you and help you on your missions.

As you progress further into the game your Scan Bot will gain access to new abilities to help you out as well. During your missions you will come across some old Eldan technology (Eldans were an old race that lived on planet before Dominoins and Exiles) that will give you more information how they lived, what they did, and why they left planet nexus. Just don’t be surprised when that plant that you try to scan emerges turns out to be a huge monster that decides you would make a tasty meal.

You will run into a bunch of puzzles that, when solved, will often lead to a secret room. Scientists will also find that they gain more xp than other characters for finding the data cubes scattered around Nexus. By leveling your path you will get new abilities, titles, FabKits (items for improving house) and much more.

WildStar Soldier Path

WildStar Soldier Path
The Soldier path is all about two things, power and destruction. Soldiers main goal is to protect and serve their allies and destroy their enemies. Since Nexus is a newly settled planet it is full of dangerous places with scary monsters and creatures that stand in way of good development, for both the Exiles and the Dominion. Soldiers do what they can to make these places safe, ensuring that their respective faction can develop the area properly.

There are several types of missions for Soldiers. Swat missions have Soldiers using special weapons and tactics to accomplish specific goals. For example, Soldiers may find themselves using special grenades to clear pests in underground tunnels, or big “tesla coils” to clear them on surface. There are also protect and capture missions where you need to fight waves of enemies to complete a specific goal. In many ways Soldiers serve as the peacekeepers of Nexus.
