The Settler path involves more player interaction than any of the other paths. If you like to socialize with others then this is right path for you.
Settlers focus a lot on repairing and restoring things around the Nexus world. Most of the towns in the game require maintaining, and that’s where the Settlers come in handy. They can also build things in towns like buff stations, vendors, and much more that can be used by other players like Speeders!
Settlers also can build whole new posts around world that can help other players during their time in that area, while at the same time helping yourself. Let’s look at an example. Let’s say you deploy a picnic that grants anyone who uses it a +5 strength buff. For everyone who discovers your picnic and interacts with it you will receive a +2 strength buff. So not only are you helping out other players, but in doing so you are powering yourself up. Or let’s say you find a broken Resurrection Station. Fixing it will help not only you, but other members of your faction in the same area. Continue reading →
Explorers are all about discovering the hidden mysteries of Nexus. You can find hidden caves, catacombs, and even whole tunnel network that can help you to move faster around a zone. You’ll search for hidden treasures and climb the highest mountain peaks in order to reach vista points. You can even go on scavenger missions to find scattered artifacts of Eldans, claim new territory, and engage in time challenges where you are required to get to a certain location in a set amount of time.
What are Wildstar paths? Should I bother with any of it? Will I get some cool rewards in the Path quests? In this post we will answer those questions so you can have a head start once WildStar goes live.
One great aspect of the path system is that it shows, once again, that the developers at Carbine Studios are doing everything they can to inject a “soul” into the game, something that so many MMOs seem to be lacking lately.
Paths are a cool new feature that will give you a hours, days, even weeks of fun to keep you entertained. How is it able to do that you ask? Well with four different paths full of unique quests there are plenty of different options for players to enjoy. Continue reading →

The Soldier path is all about two things, power and destruction. Soldiers main goal is to protect and serve their allies and destroy their enemies. Since Nexus is a newly settled planet it is full of dangerous places with scary monsters and creatures that stand in way of good development, for both the Exiles and the Dominion. Soldiers do what they can to make these places safe, ensuring that their respective faction can develop the area properly.
There are several types of missions for Soldiers. Swat missions have Soldiers using special weapons and tactics to accomplish specific goals. For example, Soldiers may find themselves using special grenades to clear pests in underground tunnels, or big “tesla coils” to clear them on surface. There are also protect and capture missions where you need to fight waves of enemies to complete a specific goal. In many ways Soldiers serve as the peacekeepers of Nexus. Continue reading →
Stalkers are feared throughout the galaxy as silent and deadly assassins who always eliminate their targets. The Stalkers’ training begins with an injected serum of advanced nanotechnology. The nanites within the serum instantly create a cerebral interface that gives the Stalker access to powerful technological abilities—such as advanced stealth capabilities, optical holoprojection, and enhanced defenses.
This interface also accelerates and enhances the Stalker’s physiological systems, allowing them to execute impressive physical feats and complex martial arts disciplines. These abilities, used in concert with a pair of well-balanced alloy clawblades, make the Stalker a fearsome opponent on the field of battle.Stalkers are also masters of tactical combat. Using their neurological enhancements, they strategically control the battlefield, utilizing combat hardware such as proximity mines to maximize their kill potential in each and every encounter. Their cerebral interface also provides real-time analytical data during encounters, allowing Stalkers to energize their clawblades based on their opponents’ greatest vulnerabilities. The result? During combat, Stalkers leave a pile of corpses in their wake before silently disappearing into the shadows. Continue reading →
