Lazarin and Zax To Star In New Comic Mini-Series

Today Carbine Studios revealed a new 3 part comic mini-series entitled “Tales From Beyond The Fringe: Mystery and Mayhem”. In these comics we are promised a look inside the minds of both faction’s resident evil scientist, Victor Lazarin and Mondo Zax. This first issue focuses exclusively on Zax, so those interested in learning a bit more about Lazarin will need to wait until the next issue is released on the 6th of September.

The issue itself is quite short, though it does manage to fit in it’s fair share of humor. The wording of the post announcing this series made it sound like we could expect more Tale from Beyond the Fringe even after the issues that focus on Zax and Lazarin are released, and the new “Comics” section of the media area on the WildStar main site seems to support this idea as well. Hopefully we will see more and more of these little stories popping up before the game is released.

The second issue of the comic with be released on September 9th, with the third and final issue coming out on the 13th of September. You can find the comic itself here.

We are ready for Launch … to Nexus

wildstar-vs-tutty

Aion: Tower of Eternity was the first MMROPG database we made on MMORPG Life. Almost five years passed since then and both us as people and MMORPG Life as project have changed significantly. We are now only a few minutes away before everyone will be able to enjoy Wildstar and start exploring Nexus and I can’t help but wonder how come I am yet again excited to be playing a new MMO.

I’ve played many MMOs in the meantime, and some I was very passionate about. Unfortunately, most of them failed me entirely (as a gamer) or were thoroughly disappointing. Whether it was that my expectations were high, or the companies that were making those games had the wrong thing on their minds or, in some cases, companies just didn’t know how to make good games – I just don’t know. What I know for sure is that I started losing faith that I will ever again be excited about a game launch.

Introducing Mondo and Victor

Last week Carbine Studios finally revealed the final two playable races for WildStar, the Chua and the Mordesh. This week we are getting a look at a couple major characters that hail from these races; Mondo Zax, a devilish Chua who is a genius when it comes to machines, and Victor Lazarin, the alchemist that inflicted the Mordesh people with the Contagion that essentially makes them space zombies.

Both characters have an interesting back story, which you can explore in full if you continue reading. Let us know what you think of these two characters and what they may bring to the WildStar world! Continue reading

That’s why we put together a detailed Illium Map and marked all points of interest like dye merchant location, mount vendor location, auctioneers, tradeskill area, runecrafting station, bank locations, housing vendor, taxi locations and much more.

How to install Addons guide

wildstar addons
Addons are small programs written in LUA programming language, that provide additional features to the game. The most popular add-ons can be found on the Curse website, where you can browse addons for different games. We also created a list of top Wildstar addons, where you can find out more about particular addons and read our notes after testing.

Automatic Installation

The great thing with Curse addons is a fact that you can install them automatically. You’ll need Curse Client addon manager that allows you to browse, install, and update your addons.

How to find WildStar Boom Boxes and Bonuses

wildstar boom boxWildStar fans who bought Deluxe Edition, and those who logged into the game every day during pre-order weekends as well as Open Beta, can collect bonuses and Boom Boxes from account bag, located in the bottom left corner of your screen. It’s a little present icon with a number on it. The number represents the quantity of Boom Boxes.

Boom boxes are account bound. When you click on the box, a pop up window will ask you are you sure you want to bind this to your character. After confirmation, a boom box will appear in your inventory. Just right-click on it and take your reward. You can open one box per day because there is a cool down of 21 hours. Rewards are random, and the first reward for my character was Pink Fury Dye.
