The weekend behind us finally saw a premiere of a dev speak video about the Stalker class. We already wrote how the livestream was postponed couple of times due to holidays and sickness, but this Saturday everything was ready for the big show.
The Stalker was also the last class to be shown. To mark this occasion WildStar also decided to hold big PVP, “Battle of the Century”, event which was lead by Lead Narrative Designer, Chad Moore and the producer, Stephen Frost.
The latest beta patch for WildStar brought light visual improvements, bug fixes and some significant tuning of classes.
It might sound disappointing that there’s no real new content here, or that level cap is still the same, but for some that won’t be the worst news they got. Developers actually made female characters more realistic reducing their, until now, flatteringly curved figures. Based on further feedback, developers may change this decision in the future.
Additionaly, mmorpg.com did “Ask Me Anything” with Stephen Frost, Design Producer of the game, and among many interesting things Frost said, MMORPG was inclined to estimate Wildstar release date somewhere between March and May, this year.
This is the final third, where features are being locked down, content is being packed in and tailored, and bugs are being brutally squashed. Tie that in with the announcement schedule I mentioned earlier, and it’s possible we’ll be seeing WildStar launch sometime between March and May
Here’s hope that those words are true.
With such equipment Engineers are capable of both causing mayhem, and enduring enemy’s heavy hits, transforming them into hardened soldiers. They can act as DPS with medium or long range attacks, or plowing through enemies as Tank.
Impressive selection of gadgets is what makes Engineers interesting. Besides customizable missile launchers, Bots will be important for attacks because they can be used for tanking, DPS, CC, and to top it off, Bots can also be used for healing. It would be better not to mention fantastic Exo-Suit which amplifies Engineers abilities or defense, but having it in mind, it is clear that everything mentioned makes this WildStar class more than just an equal with other classes on the battlefield.

With some clever customization and use of Medic’s abilities, players are able to create characters that will both do DPS and heal, in some cases even at the some time. Several abilities that they posses create fields which can then be strategically placed on the battlefield so that they damage enemies and heal friendlies that stand in them.
Except for Fields, the Medic’s power is well placed in lethal Resonators and Probes. Who will bother complaining about medium armor, when enemies will have big problems deflecting Medic’s hyper-offensive attacks and pesky Probes.

The Stalker Livestream that was originally planned for tomorrow will be moved for the next Saturday.
In his post on twitter, David Bass a.k.a. CRB_Scooter said the main reason for this sudden decision is his illness.
Thought I was getting better, but this illness got way worse today. Going to have to postpone the stream this weekend, sorry all!
This is the second time the mentioned Livestream is getting delayed since the Carbine team decided to push it back after the holidays. Finally, Carbine said the Livestream will definitely happen on Saturday, January 18th at 12PM PST.
