Starting today, WildStar fans will be able to rename their characters for $19.99 once in any 24 hour period. Once purchased, you can claim your Character Rename from the Account Services interface or choose to gift it to any account-level friend on your friend’s list. Once claimed, a Character Rename can no longer be gifted.
Claimed Character Renames will appear on the in-game character selection screen the next time you log in. New name must conform to WildStar’s name requirements & be unique to your realm.

WildStar Server Transfers details
Craig “Cougar” Turner, WildStar’s Director of Operations, announced on the Twitch stream that they are preparing the server transfer for tonight, and will give further update tomorrow. There were some technical issues while they were implementing this feature on the live servers, and they’ve been working on fixing it, with the hope of getting it out for official launch. At the same time, they have to decide what their policy will be on payed vs free transfers. They want to discourage people from doing the ‘switch to temp server while queues die down then switch back’.
We’ve been talking about having Realm Transfers, we have a 2PM go/no go as to if we’ll have this going live tonight. We’ll have both paid and unpaid Realm Transfers for ya’ll.

Paid realm transfers
WildStar realm transfer is available for $19.99. Players can move one character to a different Realm. Transfer can be realized between PvE, PvP, and RP servers, but not across regions North America to Europe. Once purchased, you can claim your Realm Transfer from the Account Services interface or choose to gift it to any account-level friend on your friend’s list. Once claimed, Realm Transfers can no longer be gifted. Claimed Realm Transfers will appear on the character selection screen the next time you log in to WildStar. YOUR CHARACTER’S NAME MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE ON DESTINATION REALM.
Realm Transfers restrictions
- Certain realms may not be available as a destination for Realm Transfers.
- To be eligible for a Realm Transfer, a character cannot have any of the following:
- Pending mail
- Pending auctions
- Pending transactions on the Commodities Exchange
- Be the leader of an Arena Team, Circle, Warparty or Guild
How to find WildStar Boom Boxes and Bonuses
WildStar fans who bought Deluxe Edition, and those who logged into the game every day during pre-order weekends as well as Open Beta, can collect bonuses and Boom Boxes from account bag, located in the bottom left corner of your screen. It’s a little present icon with a number on it. The number represents the quantity of Boom Boxes.
Boom boxes are account bound. When you click on the box, a pop up window will ask you are you sure you want to bind this to your character. After confirmation, a boom box will appear in your inventory. Just right-click on it and take your reward. You can open one box per day because there is a cool down of 21 hours. Rewards are random, and the first reward for my character was Pink Fury Dye.
WildStar Known Headstart Issues
Carbine team is currently investigating and tracking the following issues:
- Players are unable to view Realm List/Enter Realms
- Players are seeing extremely long queue times
- Players cannot speak/do not have permissions to use chat channels
- Players are missing their entitlement items (Boom Boxes, Pre-Order bonuses etc)
- Players cannot create characters/have less character slots than intended
- Players unable to create characters due to no UI being loaded after entering a Realm.
- Some users are seeing an Error 15 message preventing login.
POSSIBLE FIX: We recommend using a hard line into your Router (if possible) rather than a WiFi connection to see if this resolves the issue - A new EN-PvP Realm (Ravenous) has been opened to help alleviate traffic
- Users are reporting their Reserved names are not available.
- Some users are reporting they are being bounced between NA and EU, receiving a “No Valid Game Account” message.
Update: We’re still investigating the issue with “No Valid Game Account”.

How to activate WildStar Two-Step Verification
Carbine team added 2-Step Verification as additional verification step, that will increase the level of security on player’s account. Two-Step verification is a free process but you need Google account, and an Android/iOS/Windows Phone or Windows PC with Net 4.0.
Not only does 2-Step Verification help protect your account, but once you activate it, you’ll get in-game WildStar goodies:
- Progression Boosts: 2% Increase to Experience, Renown, and Prestige gain
- Retroblade Mount
- Character Title: Certifiably Certified
- Costume Piece: Cybernetic Eyepatch
