The item that actually starts this mission is called Old Datachron. Until you’ve scanned that, the Wreckage will only spawn annoying mobs and gain you nothing.
What the fuck are we supposed scan for actual mission? So poorly designed. Here I stand, with nothing to scan on this mission. looking around. wasting my god time as per usual.
Lots of confusion/misinformation.
You are scanning the “Scattered Wreckage” near the ancient crash site in Wildfall Commune. You scan the wreckage, a mob may pop out. Kill it. Where the wreckage was (its not loot), MAY be an “old datachron”. Scan that AGAIN, and it starts the mission. Continue doing this.
The mobs don’t drop the item. You need to scan the item a second time. The item doesn’t always appear.
