It seems like the Pell and the Eldan had a much stronger presence in this area, long ago.
Malgrave locals have spotted small, disabled probes scattered around the desert. They’re of Pell construction, not as advanced as Eldan constructs, and it might be possible to scan and repair them.

Treasure Hunter Tahiri heard of treasures in the ruins of Gravestone, and is willing to pay any Explorer who finds the treasure for him. Sounds like easy money!

Retrieve the “borrowed” plastic explosives from Mad Ernest Vern’s basement
Bugged for me at the moment. After I open the Basement Door, it teleports me to Area 77.
Apparently Ernest blew himself up and continues haunting the basement anyway. Despite fighting with you, he didn’t seem terribly upset about his new condition.
Mad Ernest Vern locked himself in his basement with enough stolen plastic explosives to blow Gravestone into orbit. Find his basement and confiscate the explosives peaceably before he hurts someone.
